Freestyle Kayaking, playboating, rodeo, whatever you want to call it, you will not want to miss it at Dominion Riverrock!

Competitors will show-off their biggest and best tricks in the Fishladder rapids just below the Potterfield Bridge as they astound judges and spectators alike for the highest combined score and chance for the championship. The bread and butter, macho man, and donkey flip are just a few of the moves you can expect to see as you catch the action from the Potterfield Bridge .

Age Requirements

Participants must be at least 12 years old to participate.

Rules

  • This is a rapid based freestyle competition and competitors can choose which features they would like to use.
  • Each competitor will have two turns in throwing down their tricks during one minute from the time of their first trick.
  • The paddlers can use whatever feature or features they prefer in the Fishladder rapid.
  • Three judges will score each move.
  • The judges will reward different moves and the quality of the execution of the moves.
  • The top 3 paddlers will move on to the finals.
  • The finals will consist of the better of two runs for each competitor.  They will have one minute each run to throw down their tricks from the time of their first trick.
  • All competitors must wear life vests and helmets.  When things get rowdy, you’ll be glad you did!
  • Consumption of alcohol before the event is PROHIBITED
