Dan & The Fam is a psychedelic groove band from Richmond, VA that has gained their following from unforgettable live performances that often feature off script im. Fronted by Danny “Jams” DeMarais (Guitar/Vocals), The Fam was formed in 2021 with Alexander LaFreniere (Drums) & Grady Tollison (Bass) and later added Jordan Cooper (Guitar/Vocals) in May 2023. As all good things change, Grady Tollison has left the Fam to embark on a spiritual sabbatical in 2025 and we have welcomed Bragg Russell (bass) from Virginia jamband Gold Station Melody into the Fam for all future shows.

Since their formation, The Fam has released multiple live albums, a studio single, & a music video for their debut song “Music is Freedom” directed by Alex Bond. The Fam’s sound has matured with more complex songwriting and attention demanding showmanship since the addition of Jordan Cooper, which can be heard on the band’s latest live release  “Live at the Broadberry” (August 2023).  Their latest studio single “OHSO” released September 10, 2024 showcases the band’s new unique sound in a radio friendly package. Excited to ride the momentum of their latest single, the Fam plans to independently release their debut album in 2025.
