About the Artist
Rachel DeFrank
Rachel DeFrank is the creative force behind RVA Muralist, a rising mural design studio based in Richmond. Guided by her mission to “make a positive impact with murals and accent walls that spread joy, help businesses, and transform spaces,” Rachel brings both passion and purpose to every project she takes on.
While mural design is a new chapter in her career, Rachel’s artistic roots run deep. With over 15 years of experience as a Creative Director, she has spent her career shaping visual stories and crafting meaningful creative work. Her love for art began early, sparked by a childhood fascination with photography that carried her through documenting travels, designing her high school yearbook, and capturing everyday life through a creative lens.
Today, Rachel blends her professional expertise with her lifelong artistic curiosity—transforming walls into vibrant, impactful works that reflect her belief that art should inspire, uplift, and connect communities.
