Belle Isle Blitz
The Belle Isle Blitz is chip timed trail run.
This 5k-ish trail race winds around Belle Isle with tough climbs and super fun downhills. Sign up for the Dog Wave, a part of the Belle Isle Blitz, and bring your favorite canine through the trails, along the dry way, and across the river. There’s no better way to spend a Friday night than with man’s best friend!

Includes a cool finisher t-shirt, chip timed bib, and drink ticket*.
*Drink ticket must be used during normal festival hours
Entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable, even in the case of a race cancellation, postponement, event format changes, and/or if you are unable to participate.
Income Based Rate

Number Pick-Up
Number Pick-up will only be available at the start line Friday evening. The start line is just over the T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge on the south side of the river
- Friday, May 17from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
You must pick you your number before the start of your event. Bib numbers must be worn in order to access the Start Area of all events. A Photo ID is required to pick you your number. You may pick-up a number for another pre-registered participant, provided you have a copy of their photo ID.

Course
Course Description
The Belle Isle Blitz will start on the south side of the river, just over the T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge and it will finish on the north side of the river in the Belle Isle lot.
Note about Course Map: As is the nature of trail races, it can be difficult to create a map that accurately reflects the true distance of the course. Please keep in mind that this map is intended to give you a better understanding of the course and that the race route is approximately a 5k.

Rules
Event Rules
- All participants must be at least 7 years old to participate. We ask that all children under the age of 14 be accompanied by an adult.
- This event is cup-less. You must bring your own hydration device.
- Consumption of alcohol before the event is PROHIBITED
Dog Wave Unique Rules
- Only one dog per human participant
- All dogs must be leashed
- Leashes cannot be retractable
- Leashes cannot exceed 8 feet in length
Waves
The Belle Isle Blitz utilizes wave starts in order to control volume on the trails, so you will be asked to line up for the start based on your predicted pace.
The Dog Wave will be the final wave of the race.
Awards
Prizes will be awarded to the top finisher in each division/category.
