Cup Of The East Kayak Polo
New Event! Kayak Polo is a unique twist on Water Polo. Teams of 5-8 compete in specialized kayaks with bumpers as they jostle for position on the James.
Teams will compete on Saturday in a round robin style tournament. The top teams will then move into an elimination bracket, with the finals taking place at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. This is a can’t miss spectator event!

Cost & Registration
TEAM PRICING SCHEDULE
Through March 31: $325
April 1 – May 3: $400
Registration will close on May 3rd. Participants will receive a cool finisher t-shirt!
Entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable, even in the case of a race cancellation, postponement, event format changes, and/or if you are unable to participate.
Packet Pick Up
Packets will be prepackaged for all teams to be picked up at the Canal before the initial event briefing. Teams will be sent the briefing time and location on event week.
Competition Schedule and Format
The first game will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday. Games have 20 minute halves with a 10 minute half time. The clock never stops unless there is a time out! Once the round robin tournament concludes, games will move into an elimination bracket. Check back after May 3rd for the official bracket!
Rules

- Participants must be at least 15 years old to participate.
- You must be on time! If you are late for your game your team will be DQ’d and eliminated from the competition.
- All competitors must wear life vests and helmets. When things get rowdy, you’ll be glad you did!
- Consumption of alcohol before the event is PROHIBITED
