Festival Updates

Rain or shine, the show will go on!

Mother Nature is keeping us on our toes, adding her own flair to the festival experience. But fear not, we’re here to make sure Dominion Energy Riverrock goes on smoothly. Our team is closely monitoring the weather forecast to keep you safe and ensure we’re responsible stewards of the amazing outdoor spaces we share. Any necessary changes will be communicated here and on social media. Thanks for being part of the adventure—we can’t wait to #rocktheoutdoors with you!

Sporting Event Updates

Mountain Bike Time Trial – Location Change

Due to recent rainfall, the “Poop Loop” has become too muddy to safely or effectively host the event. As a result, we’ve made the decision to relocate the Mountain Bike Time Trial to Powhite Park, where the trails are more suitable for racing. The MTB Time Trial will still begin at 6:30 PM tonight, with riders starting at one-minute intervals.

Mountain Bike Enduro – Event Cancelled

Due to overnight rain and our commitment to delivering a top-tier experience while protecting our world-class trail system, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the MTB Enduro event. Please check your email for further instructions.

Monsters of the James Fishing Tournament – Event Cancelled

Due to elevated water levels from this week’s heavy rainfall, and out of our commitment to providing a safe event experience while responsibly caring for the incredible outdoor spaces we all enjoy, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Monsters of the James Fishing Tournament. Please check your email for further instructions.

Adventure Zone Updates

Try and Kayak and Try a SUP
Due to high water levels on the James River, currently above 9 feet and expected to remain elevated through the weekend, Waterfront RVA will not be offering “Try a Kayak” or “Try a SUP” on the river during this year’s Dominion Energy Riverrock festival. Safety is our top priority, and these conditions make river-based activities unsafe at this time. Our “Try a SUP” and “Try a Kayak” experiences in the canal remain open and is a great way to get on the water safely.
